I had an amazing stay at this hostel! The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my visit. The location is perfect—close to public transport and easy to reach the main attractions. I especially loved the common area, which made it easy to meet other travelers. Great value for money, and I’d definitely stay here again! Miss Marina is very friendly she welcome me with good coffee and very supportive always help me whenever require.

People make places, and whilst I'd happily give 5 stars for the accomodation, facilities and prices relative to the rest of Switzerland, I want to give 10 stars to the host. I am not sure, but I think he is the owner or at least manager - Florian (and his gorgeous dog). I was made to feel so welcome, and he made sure to accomodate for my every need. I was working remotely and needed somewhere for my car. He allowed me to work there all day despite having checked out, park in his own private space for the time being, gave me a small adapter (to keep for my time in Switzerland) and was extremely friendly and forthcoming with info about Luzern. Only a short walk to the centre. I would recommend this place to anyone travelling through this area and looking for a more affordable option. The facilities were great, the showers and toilets were impeccably clean and I was even given a free upgrade to a single room as I would've been the only person in my dorm in 'low-season'. The big friendly, teddy-bear of a dog was the cherry on top. 10/10!!!

Absolutely great place. The receptionist was super friendly and helped me call the hostel in Zurich to look for my passport because I didn't have a phone number. I got one bed in a two-bed room with shared bathroom, and the room was great. It was the first time I feel a bit of privacy in a shared room, and there was also a table in the room for both of us to share. The location was ok, quiet surroundings, and good public transport not far away.

You can see the lake from the rooms, the staff is super friendly making yyou feel as if you were family. Everything is spotless and decorated with taste. There is a kitchen area where you can prepare your own food, great place.

The world would be a much more connected and happy place if there could be something like Backpackers Luzern in every major city. I will not bother enumerating every aspect that was good, because everything about it was good. Even if I had unlimited funds I think I would still prefer it to a hotel.

This place is the best, super comfortable, everything in the details. They have area for washing, individual shower room, and individual shower room with toilet. Located at a very quite neighborhood. Ideal for longer stay. The girl at the reception is phenomenal in providing information.

We had a wonderful stay at Backpackers Lucerne while travelling with our infant. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a home away from home. The hostel was clean, comfortable, and very family-friendly. A special thanks for providing a baby crib, which made travelling with a little one much easier. The shared kitchen was excellent and allowed us to prepare meals for our baby as well as ourselves, saving both time and money. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, the staff were helpful, and the location was convenient for exploring Lucerne. Everything we needed for a comfortable family stay was available. We highly recommend Backpackers Lucerne to families travelling with young children. We would happily stay here again on a future visit to Switzerland.

It was my first time staying at a hostel. I had a fantastic experience at Backpackers Luzern. - the room, shared with one roommate, was great; the bed mattress was ok, - washroom & shower were spotless and new - the self-service kitchen & dinning areas were organized and tidy - staff were friendly and helpful. I met a Korean girl and a Taiwanese guy. We had great conversations. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is on a budget and loves to socialize.
